American Girl Doll Raffle: Chrissa

The lucky winner of the American Girl "Chrissa" doll is Maizy Lawnicki.

Maizy’s lucky ticket was drawn December 8 by library patron Jim Grzelak. The doll was picked up for Maizy by her grandmother, Maureen Lesko. Chrissa is the American Girl 2009 Girl of the Year. Chrissa was the featured doll at the American Girl Tea Party held at the Westville Library in November.

Have you tried Audio Books?

If you have long commutes or like to listen to great stories while you multi-task, try audio books.  They are also great for people with vision problems.

Many books by your favorite authors are available in several audio formats:  CD, cassette, Playaways, or downloadable from the internet.  All you need is a valid library card to get started.

Audio books are also great for kids learning to read - we have many titles for kids that have a follow-along cassette or CD with the book.

Remember - if we don't have what you want, we can request it from another library that does!

When did your family immigrate to Westville?

We are compiling a book of information about people who immigrated to Westville.
Any information on the history of Westville and old pictures of the town would be appreciated.  Your photos will be photocopied and the originals returned to you.
